Thank you so much for visiting the Honey Rock House of Compassion website. I pray it is a blessing to you as you learn more about the ministry.
The House of Compassion is so close to the heart of God because the lives of the women and children are precious to Him. This project has a very special place in my heart as well. Any time that we can touch the lives of children, it is a special privilege and blessing from the Lord.
I would like to give you an impression of just how important this ministry is to the Lord. At the time that God gave the vision, there were many opportunities for women to terminate their pregnancies. We know that this is not the plan of God for babies never to be given a chance at life outside the womb so they may grow up and fulfill the plans that He has for them.
The vision for the House of Compassion began with a word from the Lord in 2020 when He directed us to open a home for unwed mothers who had decided to choose life for their baby instead of having an abortion. As I received it, I have to admit that this looked like a very tall order. Additionally, we had done so much building and ministering through the years that I was ready to take a break. But God had another plan. Because I have seen God do the miraculous, I knew He would provide everything that was needed…debt-free.
Little by little, God began the process. He guided us in every step so that the house could be built without any debt. He brought us to the land and to the company who would build it. He provided every laborer and service.
And little by little, He provided the resources. In order for the house to be built without a mortgage, we had to make a commitment to pay a large sum of money each month. This surprised the homebuilder, as it was the first time that someone was able to build a home without a loan.
As we prayed and trusted God, He never let us down. He continually touched the hearts of people to sow toward the home and we always were able to pay the payment, even if it was at the last minute. But God was never late. He showed us once again how mighty He is and how much He wanted to build this home. I am thankful that God even used this project to be a witness to the homebuilding company of His miraculous provision.
God has placed His hand on the whole ministry vision and we give all of the praise, honor and glory to Him.
